J. Mikey’s Mock Draft 1.0

com_121206_NCF_Vblog_Dinich_Joeckel_121206

Ever since Vlad Jones-McFly convinced him that the NFL Draft was better than the NBA Draft, J. Mikey has become our Mel Kiper, Jr., scouring reports across the Interwebs to determine the 32 most coveted players in football’s amateur ranks who will be first-round picks in this April’s NFL Draft.

These are early, early (and I stress, EARLY) projections from Mikey. Be mindful that this list will change after the post-season all-star games (ex: the Senior Bowl), the Scouting Combine and collegiate pro days. Hell, the draft order may change (the Super Bowl winner will pick last).

Version 2.o will include more in-depth analysis, Mikey promises.

  1. I think the Lions are going to take Moore or Werner if either is still available at five rather than Milliner. Lions secondary grades out pretty poorly against advanced metrics but they played 7 different cornerbacks and like 4 or 5 different safeties. Lions DE’s had 15.5 sacks total this season even with Suh, Fairley, and Williams getting constantly double teamed. Also Vanden Bosch is probably getting released unless he takes a pay cut and Avril’s is/was on a one year “franchised” deal.
