The DEFINITIVE 2013 NFL Mock Draft by @JMikey

He does it every year, and this is no different. Check out @JMikey’s mock  for the first two rounds of this year’s NFL Draft.

Round 1

1. Chiefs – Luke Joeckel* 6’6 310 OT  Texas A&M – Kansas City has their QB in Alex Smith so    where will they go now, most likely the best left tackle in the draft.
2. Jaguars  – Ezekiel Ansah* 6’6 270 DE  BYU – “Ziggy” Ansah ran a low 4.6 at the combine weighing 270lbs, the jaguars need help with their pass rush and he gives them the biggest upside.

3. Raiders – Star Lotulelei 6’3 325 DT  Utah – Cleared medically by doctors and aced his pro-day, will ascend back to the top of the draftand Oakland who is rebuilding def can use this force on the inside

4. Eagles –  Barkevious Mingo* 6’5 240 DE  LSU- the eagles are switching to a 3-4 this year and NEED a pass rushing OLB, it is easy to peg Dion Jordan here since his college coach is now the head coach in Philly but I see them going with Mingo.

5. Lions – Dee Milliner*  6’1 199 CB  Alabama – Hands down the best corner in the draft and the team that might need a #1 CB the most.  Detroit would like to be able to stop somebody so every game isn’t a shootout for them.  Eric Fisher is also an option here

Browns –  Dion Jordan  6’7 241  DE  Oregon – Another high riser in this draft, fills a need at 3-4 OLB, Cleveland would love for the lions to pick Eric Fisher so they can draft Dee Milliner and put him on the other side of Joe Hayden

Cardinals – Eric Fisher  6’8 305 OT  C. Michigan – The 2nd best Tackle in the draft and can easily go higher, Arizona needs o-line help even with Levi Brown coming back, Carson Palmer will be happy about this pick.

Bills –  Geno Smith  6’3 214 QB  W. Virginia – Kevin Kolb has signed in Buffolo but I don’t think the front office there will let the only first round QB in this years draft pass them, besides does anybody believe Kolb can be a franchise QB

Jets – Justin Hunter*  6’4 205 WR  Tennessee – NYJ need a big #1 WR and Hunter went to the combine and showed why he should be the first WR taken (since Keenan Allen didn’t participate)

Titans -Shariff Floyd*  6’3 295 DT   Florida  – the best interior linemen in the draft falls to a team with a good front four already, this may be looked at as the steal of the draft.

Chargers – D.J. Fluker*  6’6 335 OT Alabama – San Diego needs to upgrade their o-line if they want P Rivers to survive

Dolphins –  Lane Johnson 6’7 303 OT OU – Jake Long is gone and they need to replace him, they have first round pick Jonathan Martin playing on the right side now and will most likley move him to the left

Jets –  Chance Warmack 6’3 320 G  Alabama – Interior of the o line may not be the biggest need for the Jets but Mark Sanchez needs help and a stud o linemen will help the passing and running game

Panthers – Keenan Allen*  6’3 210 WR  California – Cam Newton needs help at WR as steve smith isn’t getting any older.  It is thought that Allen is going to fal on draft day due to not participation in much of the off-season draft process but his talent and size will keep him in the first half of the first round

Saints –  Sam Montgomery*  6’4 245 DE  LSU – N.O. is switching to a 3-4 next season and have nobody to rush the passer – Montgomery may have under achieved at LSU but he fits perfectly in the scheme and can really rush the passer.

Rams – Jonathan Cooper  6’3 310 OG  N. Carolina – Cooper a road grade interior linemen who will be a 10 starter in the NFL, the Giants thrive on getting to the QB and shut down corners make any DE better

Steelers – Menelik Watson* OT  6’4¾”  317 Florida State – Tackles will be go and go fast in the draft this year, Big Ben needs to be protected and Menelik will solidify the young o-line in the Steel City

Cowboys – Bjoern Werner*  6’4 265 DE  Florida St – Dallas is switching to the 4-3 and needs somebody on the other side of  D Ware, Werner was thought by many to be the top 1 or 2 DE’s off the board but slips a little do to the great work outs by some of the other DE’s

Giants –  Desmond Trufant 6’0 190 CB Wash – Trufant worked himself up to the #2 corner in the draft in the combine

Bears – Alec Ogletree*  6’3 236  ILB  Georgia – Chicago loses a stud MLB and another falls into their lap

Bengals – Tavon Austin  5’9 174 WR WVU  – Put Austin on the other side of AJ Green and with Gresham at TE, now Andy Dalton really has a full arsenal of weapons to play with.

Rams (from Redskins) – 6’1 218    Kenny Vaccaro  S  Texas – STL got their o line help in FA so you go to their next biggest need which is at safety, Vaccaro showed at the combine he is the best safety in the class.

Vikings – Sheldon Richardson  6’4 295  DT  Missouri – Richardson could go higher, he should go higher but with so many good DT in this draft he takes a bit of a hit-

Colts – Jarvis Jones* 6’3 241  OLB Georgia – a stud at OLB who has some medical problems that are going to make him drop ondraft day, this is a far drop for a player some think is one of the best players in the draft

Vikings (from the Seahawks) – – C. Patterson*  6’3 205 WR  Tennessee – The Vikings got this pick in the Percy Harvin trade, Ponder just got Greg Jennings to throw to and with a young TE on the team with reigning MVP why wouldnt they get all the weapons they can

Packers –  Margus Hunt,   6’8 275 DE/DT, SMU – The JJ Watt comparisons are going to keep coming in, Hunt is no where near as polished at Watt was coming out of college but he is just as much of an athlete (maybe better)

Texans – Terrance Williams 6’3 190 WR  Baylor Houston has needed somebody across from Andre Johnson his whole career, and now that he is getting older they need somebody to take his place soon

Broncos – Sylvester Williams  6’2 320  DT N. Carolina – Denver knows it needs to upgrade its front seven, Von Miller will be that much tougher to block with Williams lining up at DT

Falcons – Tyler Eifert*  6’6 252 TE  Notre Dame – With no pass rusher left to pick Atlanta goes with Tony G’s eventual successor

Patroits -Damontre Moore  6’4 250 DE  Texas A&M – Thought to be the best pass rusher in the draft before Ziggy Mingo and Jordan did their preverbal thing at the combine, he hasn’t interviewed well apparently but has a ton of skil,l and no worries next to Vince Wolfork Tommy Kelly and Chandler Jones he is going to love being in New England.

49ers  – Xavier Rhodes*  6’2 185 CB FSU – San Fran traded for Anquan Boldin so now they will look to the the other side of the ball to upgrade

Ravens-  Manti Te’o  6’2 255  ILB  Notre Dame – He has fallen far enough, he falls not because of the hoax or his 40 time but simply because of need (only one ILB has been drafted at this point)

Round 2

Jacksonville – C. Patterson*  6’3 205 WR  Tennessee -Justin Blackmon may be the real deal but the Jags still need someone else to throw the ball to

San Fran – Marcus Lattimore* 6’0 218 – He tore his ACL but luckily he doesn’t have to play right away for San Fran, give him a redshirt NFL season and you have a top 10- 15 pick in the 2nd round (this is the pick San Fran got for Alex Smith)

Philadelphia – Johnthan Banks  6’2 185 CB  Miss. St. – The Eagles lost both of their starting CB’s from last year and are going to have to do something at the position in the draft

Detroit – Travis Frederick*  OC  6’4″  335  Wisconsin – O-line help is always good in Detroit, Matt Stafford can have an even season then that of two years ago with Reggie Bush lining up behind him and an o line who can protect

Cincinnati (from Oakland) – Giovani Bernard 5’10 205 RB N. Carolina – a dynamic every down back who doesn’t have to play right away since the law firm aka Slim’s son is still serviceable

Arizona – Eric Reid 6’2 208 S LSU – Arizona cut both their starting safeties this offseason and need to draft somebody to replace them.

Cleveland (exercised in 2012 supplemental draft)

New York Jets – Eddie Lacy* 6’1 220 RB Bama – The Jets cut Shonn Green and have no #1 running back on their team.  They also have a bad QB and WR’s so why not run the ball

Tennessee – Kevin Minter 6’2 242 ILB LSU – a lot of upgrades this offseason for the titians on offense, Minter will help out on the other side of the ball

Buffalo – DeAndre Hopkins  6’1 200 WR Clemson –  Fast WR to help out Kolb/Smith

Miami – Marquise Goodwin 5’8 170 WR UT – the fastest WR at the combine, an Olympic track runner as well – will fit perfectly in the slot in Miami

Tampa Bay – Johnathan Jenkins  6’3 351 DT  Georgia – Tampa took care of their CB need and they go with a massive space eating DT

Carolina – Zach Ertz*  6’6 251  TE  Stanford – Carolina has Greg Olson at TE but another weapon for Cam wont be a bad thing.  a two TE set will help out their read-option also.

New Orleans (forfeited)

San Diego – Quinton Patton*  WR  6’0″  202  Louisiana Tech – Philip Rivers needs somebody to throw the ball to

St. Louis – Kawann Short   DT  Purdue – a DL upgrade for Jeff Fishers defense.

Dallas – Kevin Reddick 6’3 240 ILB UNC – switching to a 4-3 means new personal at linebacker

Pittsburgh – Corey Lemonier*   6’4 242 OLB  Auburn – outsie pass rushing has always been a staple of Stealers defense

New York Giants – Alex Okafor, DE/OLB, 6’4 261 Texas – nobody likes having pass rushers more then the new york football giants

Chicago – Johnathan Hankins*  6’3 335 DT  Ohio State – a massive NT to clog up the middle of that chicago defense

Washington – Jesse Williams DT  6’3½”  320  Alabama – a NT for washington’s 3-4 defense

Minnesota – Blidi Wreh-Wilson 6’0 186 CB UConn – The Vikings have made a lot of upgrades to their offense but none to their defense.

Cincinnati – Matt Elam*  5’10 206 S UF – Cincy has a good defensive front and can use to upgrade the secondary

Miami (from Indianapolis) – Dj Hayden*  CB 5’11⅛”  192 Houston – Miami traded their #1 corner for this pick, they might as well replace him (or at least try to)

Green Bay- Jordan Reed*  TE  6’3″ 241 Florida – the packers will have a hole at TE after this season, and in losing Greg Jennings they can use more two TE sets this season as Reed as a good receiving tight end

Seattle – Larry Warford 6’3 336  G UK – Seattle has upgraded almost everything on their team this off-season but o-line

Houston – Tank Carradine, DE, 6’4 255 Florida State – tore his ACL early in the year or he would be a first round pick, will give the Texans a pass rusher

Denver – Montee Ball 5’11 212 RB WISC – maybe the best running back in college football the last two years will provide balance for Peyton Manning

New England – Justin Pugh OG 6’4⅞” 301 Syracuse – a road grader for the inside of the Patriot offensive line

Atlanta – Khaled Holmes 6’4 310 C USC – The Falcons starting center just retired, a young center will blend well with their young QB and WR’s

San Francisco – Arthur Brown  ILB  6’0½”  224 Kansas State – San Fran has Patrick Willis but they play 3-4 and need another ILB next to him

Baltimore – Datone Jones 6’4 283 DE UCLA – a big defensive end who will help the Raven D remain one of the best in the league.
